First of all I like the cover. It has lots of bright colors and the picture itself made me want to know what the story is about. That is where my interest stops. The writing is cliche and dull. It felt like a James Patterson novel and I don't consider that a compliment. The writing is unrealistic and the story feels childish. I couldn't get very far before I was just uncomfortable with the writing style. The story is something I would be interested in if it were well written. I love a good murder mystery but I don't enjoy the ones where family is involved as much as I enjoy detective novels. I am a picky reader and ones that have this kind of writing and story just feel the same over and over and I get bored. The story is the same as the rest of the genre and there isn't anything new. If there were something new it would be more interesting but it felt very cliche.
