I have enjoyed all of Myers Sain's books, but I think this might be my favorite.

Trulee has just graduated from high school in the small town of Mount Orange, Florida. She is expected to go on to FSU, marry her high school sweetheart and settle down. But Tru doesn't feel like that life is right for her. The only time she feels like herself is when she is free diving in the springs, in her memories of her dead sister and in her dreams, where she imagines herself to be Bailey, one of Mount Orange's famous dead girls. Two years before she was born, Bailey and her best friend Celeste were camping out by Hidden Glen Springs when they were savagely murdered. Tru is obsessed with the case, that is unsolved to this day. And then Rio appears in town. Rio is beautiful, an excellent free diver and similarly obsessed with Bailey and Celeste.

This book had so many things I love!

- an eerie but beautiful setting that functioned as a character
- true crime elements
- a serial killer
- alligators
- strong and mysterious females
- paranormal aspects
- a twisty ending that I didn't fully expect

I was continuously changing my mind about who the killer was, and although I wasn't completely off-base, the ending still came as a surprise because I was only partially right. This was a quick read too and I can't wait for Myers Sain to write another book!
