I am already hooked after reading the first chapter. As a Florida native, I am too familiar with the gossip of a small town regarding their haunting tales. The sweltering Florida heat can be an instigator to flared tempers. Southern gothic tends to be the genre I read the most. Trulee has a sister that went missing at the same Hidden Glenn Springs as two of Mount Orange's beloved girls Celeste and Bailey. However none of the spotlight shines on Trulee's sister Dani. My hope is that Trulee can find some answers of her missing sister and even the mystery of Celeste and Bailey's disappearance. Trulee's family also seems like an interesting dynamic. Her parents are split since her dad blows her off for a scheduled dinner. Also her mom seems to stay out late at night. There is a lot to unpack with Trulee's family. I cannot wait to dive further into this book.
