I loved how this book opened, it gripped me from the first page and never stopped pulling me in! As a young adult novel, it spans the generations and can capture readers of many genres (mystery, thriller, YA, NA, and adult). The twists and turns kept me guessing throughout. While magic is not my genre per say, the author weaved it in so well and layered it with the crime element that it did not hinder the story for me in any way. I will be thinking about this book for years to come!
