This is my third novel I have read by Ginny Myers Sain and it didn't disappoint! To begin with, the cover of One Last Breath has beautiful, vibrant illustration and is a perfect fit for the book. Before reading this novel, I didn't know anything about diving that the main characters enjoy so much in this novel. Tru, Rio, and East all love diving and I was holding my breath right with the characters. I did enjoy the characters, but struggle some with Tru's choices. Camping out in the scrub to try and lure a serial killer out of hiding? Seems like an unlikely (and super not smart) choice.

Overall, I feel that YA readers will really enjoy the relationships between the main characters. Myers Sain does a great job of mixing in just a little of the supernatural to enhance the overall mystery of the story. Although I had an inkling of who the killer was, I was definitely kept guessing!
