This is a young adult mystery-thriller and is written as such. The main character is on the younger side, still living with parents but old enough to have jobs and head off to college in the fall. The writing is less descriptive than I am used to, but you get a good sense of the town she lives in. There are a few minor inconsistencies or perhaps just things that weren't explained well. The story seems interesting with some slightly paranormal suggestions thrown in.
