I knew I was skeptical of the water for a reason. This author has a way to create such a vivid and thrilling scene, regardless if one has ever been to the location she writes about. The second chapter had me at the edge of the seat, knowing Tru was already getting herself caught into some whirlwind catastrophe. I'm curious to see if Bailey and Celeste's killer was truly a serial killer, or something much more.

The cover, as with "Dark and Shallow Lies" is the reason I was so curious about this book. The darkness of the woods mingled with the bright pops of color is captivating to the eye.
