The beginning is super compelling: The narrator acting as if being woken up by the sound of a knife and a dead girl next to them is nothing out of the ordinary. But then it gets a little bit confusing? Maybe because English isn't my first language. But did Trulee literally dream while standing up on a lawn? Or was it a daydream?
I like the passage about what Florida is famous for.
I love that they used to pretend to be the missing/dead girls at school as kids.

I leave this sample curious why Trulee is so invested in Celeste and Baileys case: what are these random thoughts she has in her head. Are they Bailey's? Is she being haunted by a ghost that wants her to solve the case? And if so, why her? Did someone in her family perhaps do it? Why did she go down to that well again after her near-death experience? Is she literally possessed or just very careless? And whooo tf is Rio?
