There is a wonderful, otherworldly feeling to the setting. I love the period detail and how naturally it is described through the action. I love the storytelling voice.

I see how a mystery is being set up and I am intrigued to know more. Especially poignant is the image of the boy holding the girl and how he seems to understand something the adults don’t. He seems reliable although young.
