Thank you to Bookish First and the publisher for providing me with an early copy of this book.

Did you ever read a book that you wanted to rush through just to see what happened, but you also wanted to never finish it so you could continue enjoying it? For me this was one of those books. This book hooked me. The writing wrapped me up like a warm blanket and left me in a cozy spot for the duration of the tale.

This story of a young girl, found in a river, will stay with me for a long time. Several people come forward to claim the girl but identifying her is no easy task. Who is she? And how did she arrive at the Swan Inn where stories are told and stories evolve?

The characters in this book are memorable (wonderful! amazing!), but the stories woven throughout are really what kept me turning pages quickly. Twists are revealed along the way and the telling seemed almost effortless. There is really a fairy tale quality to this book that is lightly haunting. Readers looking for adventure, great characters, evolving plot, and a book that's hard to put down will want to make sure this is on their bookshelf this winter.
