This is the definition of a good, well-told, captivating story. There's magic, there's love, there's family, there's mischief, there's stories within stories. Diane Setterfield has created a world where story telling is treasured; and what reader doesn't love that?

The characters and the places captured my heart. I want to spend time at The Swan at Radcot and I want to meet Daunt and Mr. Armstrong and Rita. Each of the individual storylines end up intertwining in surprising ways and blending into a story that leaves the reader thinking long after they reach the last page (and, by the way, the last paragraph is pure magic).

I was hooked on this book from the first time I laid eyes on the cover, and the full story did not disappoint. Pick this up and be transported to a world where truth and stories become one.
