I actually really liked this book! It starts off introducing you to a town where story telling and drinking go hand in hand. People gather at a local inn called The Swan for a pint and a good story. One night, a man, severely battered and close to death walks in the door of the Inn with a dead little girl in his arms and collapses. The towns people immediately get to work on figuring out what is going on here and how these two ended up like this. Things are even further complicated when the little girl is actually discovered to be alive! What ensues is a story of mystery, romance, murder, complicated family history, and much more! At times the story line got a little confusing because there are several different characters with different back stories that all feed into the main plot in one small way or another. The author irons those things out as she goes and things slowly start to come to light. I enjoyed this read! 4 stars from me!
