The summary of this book sounded very interesting to me, and I was super excited to delve into the story. I feel like this is a novel that has a lot of potential to become something truly unique and wonderful.
However.
Right off the bat the writing style was a little overwhelming for me. I dislike when books start of talking about "this story." We all know that this is a story, you don't need to tell us that. The wordage used and the sentence structure just turned me off to the story. I feel like this is mostly personal preference, so I still believe that if you're interested in the story you should give it a shot, but I myself do not feel like this is the story for me.
Can we just talk about that cover though?! Gorgeous.
