I was not held into it...
Im aware that most of these reviews I've completed having finished every book that I've won, but unfortunately I could not complete this book. I truly tried to get into it fully. The mystery of the young girl brought in by a dark clothed, grotesque featured man was intriguing. The whole idea of the different pubs in the river side city was also very fairy tale like. I enjoyed small aspects of it as a whole. The story though seemed long, over worded. This was the first novel i read by Diane Setterfield. I'm not completely putting off the novel, but currently im not itching to get back into finishing it. I've read up to part 3. I think the mystery will stay a mystery for me of whom this little mysterious girl belongs to until a later time. That said, I would recommend it because everyone's taste in reading material is different than their neighbors. Thanks for allowing me to try this book on for size!
