Set in the past on the river Thames, a man walks into a tavern with the lifeless body of a child. She makes a miraculous recovery hours later however can not speak. Three different families are convinced this girl is their child and fight to win custody of the miracle girl. However each family has mysteries of their own and it is clear she does not belong to some of them. This book was told like a fairy tale and the setting really added to the mood. It was a magical heart warming story that I truly enjoyed. I loved uncovering the secrets of each family and the ending was so heart warming. It’s similar to folklore In a way and leaves the reader believing in the power of magic. This young girl brings such a magical lure over the town!
