Wow, I loved The Thirteenth Tale. I remember my friend, a fellow reading enthusiast, passing it on to me. I asked her if it was a good read and she said. “Yes. Excellent. Very different.” And that was exactly was my impression and I enjoyed it immensely.
Your description of Once Upon a River a “tapestry” caught my eye and this story sounds like a novel I’d pick up, get comfortable in my reading chair and a hot tea ... and become immersed in another world.
I’d love to read another book by this author. The Thirteenth Tale has “stuck” with me, in a good way, over the years. This author has talent!
