Confession: I wasn't the biggest fan of THE THIRTEENTH TALE. I tried multiple times to get into it because I was determined to like and finish it and just couldn't. Historical fiction isn't always my shtick, but sadly that book fell into my dislike category. This little First Impression immediately captured my attention. ONCE UPON A RIVER feels a tad more mythological and something more up my alley.
