I'm not sure if this would be my cup of tea generally, but I quite enjoyed this First Look. There was a true faerie tale/old school storytelling aspect to the writing that was nicely done. I thought a few of the generalizations were iffy (absolutely everyone pining after wanting to hold their own child, real or imagined, when it was realized that a dead child was in their midst - sad, yes, but nah), but otherwise, this was pretty interesting. Perhaps if I see it at my library in a few months, I'll continue perusing. The mystery didn't quite grab me, but the writing was solid. Thanks!
