I love the way Diane Setterfield weaves a story. When I read The Thirteenth Tale, I was transported into that book, I felt the story was being told tome. I feel that Once Upon A River will be the same. The story pulls you in! Again, there is a story being told, and I can’t wait to find out what happens to the young girl, thought to be a puppet, then left for dead. The story is being deftly told, drawing you in slowly, but continuing to turn the crank to bring you into the story more deeply. The characters are painted with deep colors, helping us to really know them and their thoughts. I am looking forward to following the date of this girl.
