I enjoyed reading the first look at the book. The history of the inns and the characters at the beginning made me interested and able to visualize the setting and people. I really enjoyed that it blends into the story with the line "Now that you know everything you need to know, the story can begin." That line gives it a very conversational tone. I really enjoyed that the cover was not only a river but also a swan, linking both the Thames and the name of the inn.
