Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield is a well-written, engaging, adult fairytale. It is atmospheric and captures the reader’s attention from page one. On a dark, wintery night, in an inn reknowned for it’s storytelling, an intriguing mystery begins to unfold. An injured man, carrying a small, dead child, storms into this inn of stories and forever changes this community as the dead child miraculously awakens. I look forward to reading more.
