If you like fairy tale style books, then this book is for you. I like them, but not when the introduction itself is a long winded saga of a story, and for me that's what the beginning felt like. It's the kind of book I'd pick up on audiobook if I needed a serious long escape, but even then, if the plot didn't pick up in the first couple chapters, I'd still probably bail on it.
