there are two stories here, seemingly unrelated: the first chapter and the exerpt that pulls you in to read the book in the first place, both visually captivating. this book is engrossing from the start of chapter 1. Easily, one can visualize a foggy land where the temp is just past chilly. i heard the fiddles and can smell the ale soaked floor boards in the inns. i also hear the patrons talking in their perfect vernacular and also feel the heat given off by the fire hearth. there is a miracle waiting to happen here and i can't wait to "watch" it unfold. this will be the perfect book to usher in the cooler months.
