I enjoyed Off Limits. It definitely fit the bill as a hot and sexy romance. But, the office romance part of the story didn’t sit quite right with me.
Jack is the sexy billionaire in question, and Gemma is his in house legal counsel and his go to person for just about everything. The sparks fly right away, even as Jack indulges in one night stands to help him forget about his dead wife. I might have liked this book more if I’d read it a year ago. However, after months of news stories about powerful men harassing women that work for them, it’s hard to smile indulgently as Gemma continually finds Jack naked in his bed when starting the work day (before they get together). While it’s easy to explain away with a HEA, I continually questioned Gemma’s reactions to Jack’s offensive behavior. Why on earth would a bright, intelligent woman put up with him, no matter how hot he is?
