It truly pains me to write this review because I wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, that just didn’t happen. I love a good forbidden office romance and found the first look of Off Limits intriguing even though it was short. However, after reading the book in its entirety I just feel like everything from the storyline to the characters was incredibly underdeveloped.
While Off Limits is definitely a hot and steamy read, Gemma was not what I would consider a strong heroine. I felt like she was a pushover that conceded to Jack at every turn which was incredibly annoying. And while there are heroes who are lovable jerks, there is also Jack, a playboy with no regard for anyone else.
Overall, this book fell short and was not for me. That being said, I recognize that my opinion is the minority and I’m glad that other people are enjoying it.
