This book had incredible writing. The way each character in the story had their own opinions about each event was so surprising every single time, characters on different sides interpreted actions so wildly. It made the story seem much more realistic and true to life. Each character felt so real, they all had such good characterization and there were no completely good or bad characters, they all were written as people who make mistakes. Except Arable, who is very wholesome and is my absolute favorite. I also deeply enjoyed how characters started out seeming one way, but throughout the novel were given characteristics that completely changed my opinion of them. I felt this way about Guy of Gisbourne and Elena. This is definitely the best retelling of Robin Hood I've ever read.
