I'm a librarian, so stories that take place in bookshops are my thing. I love the opening of the book. The first page grabbed my attention. There was smoke. David's fear that his books were burning was a bit over the top, for good reason. This reason is hinted the further I read. This idea of living an immortal life, dying but not dying, is a fascinating idea. It reminds me of the TV show "Forever". However, I feel there is a fear that would seem unrealistic to most people that is very realistic to David. I like his assistant Tiana. The chemistry between the two is great. The relationship, the depth of their knowledge of one another is also good. The story of the daredevil that begins the story of this book will be very neat to read. I can't wait to get my hands on this to finish reading!
