As soon as I saw the title, I couldn't wait to get it and read it. We all secretly wonder if there are people out there who have escaped death that walk among us, and the thought of immortality has its perks, but in the case of this book, maybe that comes with a price.
What is likable is that the writer really details the characters well and introduces you into a world that is both ordinary and extraordinary, what it must be like to be immortal but be required to live many lifetimes as just an ordinary person.
This book also begs the question, of how far would you go, and at what cost, to honor God and his will for your life, even when that you could mean losing any sense of community that you have with others.
