First off I want to say thank you to Bookish first, the publisher and the author for giving me a free copy of this book in exchange of my honest opinion. I think when I read the synopsis of this book I didn't realize it was going to be Christian fiction - nothing wrong with that it just caught me off guard. I think that this story had potential though. I mean trying to extend your life when you really should not be there anymore? It's a pretty interesting concept even when you aren't super religious.
I think that what didn't get me to a four star review would be the actual writing. i didn't feel like it flowed as much as I would have hoped for. I think the characters were very interesting but would have loved for the story to flow more - but hey maybe that's just me.
The good news is there may be a sequel. Seems like the author left that one up for grabs so who knows maybe the 2nd book will be even better than the first one.
But hey if you are into religious books or ones that center their storyline around them then you should pick this up. it's overall a decent read.
