I will be honest, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book. I liked the first impression of it, but it didn't floor me and make me want to drop everything and buy the book. I won it from bookish so that thankfully gave me the nudge to read it, and boy am I glad that I did. Story is about David, to your typical hero, he hasn't aged in centuries. The story is about trials in life, difficult times and trusting in God. Some themes that were touched upon are death, friendship, trust in God, and the purpose of each of the characters. Along with all of these important themes, there was a sweet friendship building with David and Tiana because it gave a romantic aspect that I really enjoyed. Overall, so happy with this book!
