The reader is immediately transported into the story from the first line. And even though immortal stories are not uncommon, I do love how this one begins to unfold.
David is a bookstore owner with an astounding secret. He cannot die, or at least, stay dead. He continues to live, day after day, even though all those around him die. Thinking he is the only one, he lives a lonely existence, until one day, that all changes.
This is where the story of immortals is different. David realizes there are others like him and he searches them out. I am excited to see how his story unravels and how being with others like him (I am guessing not all are law abiding, upstanding citizens) affects his life.

I love the bookstore on the cover and how we see a man walking towards it in a long coat. The title seems muted but that may just be because we only see a jpg of the cover and not the actual thing. I wish some type of clock was on the cover as well, to indicate how important time is in this story. Otherwise, it's a pretty solid and catchy cover.
