While the premise sounds interesting, what actually appealed to me most in the excerpt is that David owns a bookstore, he has such an appreciation for books and reading and there were numerous references to books, I love the idea of reading more of that. As for the cover, I don’t know, it’s kind of non-descript, it probably wouldn’t catch my eye and stand out beyond any of the other murky thriller/mystery type of covers.
