I love multi point of view books and while I don’t love historical fiction this also crosses into fantasy and some romance and is young adult which are my favorites so I really enjoyed the magic in this book and the characters! I like when books cross multiple genres like that, it's hard to do and pull off. There’s important female friendships and queer representation! This book did feel a little long but I enjoyed it enough to read it all the way through and it was worth it. Also it has a super stunning cover. This book follows the Nightbirds, girls with magical abilities given through a kiss. They are protected as treasures from the church that wants them dead. Matilde, Aesa and Sayer are the three main characters but there's also a fourth character I loved a lot. I am looking forward to the next book this author writes, hopefully this will be a series
