Nightbirds is the first book in a duology announced and I am just mesmerized by the cover that I immediately requested an e-ARC via NetGalley.
So honest thoughts - the thing that I always look forward in fantasy books is the magic system and how convincing the author wrote about it and in this one, I am amazed with how old magic was portrayed and its significance to Matilde, Aesa, and Sayer's lives.
I love the found family trope as well!!! Even though the three MCs have varying personalities, it was realistically portrayed and it made their bond as nightbirds even greater.
Overall, I love this fun and magical book!
