At first I wasn’t sure if I would like this as I have found books set during the 1920s and prohibition not really my thing. But from the first chapter I was hooked. I love how the author made the prohibition to actually be one of magic, not alcohol. The nightbirds are so intriguing. I want to know if they can do more with their magic like their ancestors did. I want to know how they are going to stay safe with so many people after them. The world the author has built is so interesting and I’m looking forward to exploring it more.
