I really like the concept; I am intrigued to see where this story leads Matilde, Aesa, and Sayer next! They're all presenting themselves to be such unique, opposite-in-personality, yet fierce and strong characters.
I'd love to see more world-building as the book progresses, and definitely hope to see development into who the original fyrebirds were and what they can do. But that's just what I'm looking forward to...this First Look has me hooked!
