The blurb reminded me of similarities to The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton. I loved the map that is included as possible end papers I'm guessing based on the format. A fantasy book with a map is always a great sign! I loved the opening and how the Nightbirds accept not only payments for their services, but require secrets as well! Such a fun element to add and a worthy payment indeed. The magic system is intriguing and I really loved the card illustrations included within the opening scene. This looks like a fun fantasy read I'd love to get my hands on!
