This first impression started out a little slow with lots of information and half introductions. The info dump left me a little confused and uninterested. Then in walks Dennan and things get interesting! The plot line is original and the suspense left me on the edge of my seat. I love the magic and politics that are interwoven together. I would love to read the tale of the Nightbirds!
