Magic Prohibition is abound, but that doesn't stop the underground magic parties and speakeasies. The society of magic and their users, are held to the highest secrecy. Nightbirds are young women who can gift a bit of their magic to a client, for the right price. While the writing is articulate, I couldn't seem to get into the story. We meet each character briefly, but I wish we had gotten more out of the first meeting.
