I've always been a big fan of YA fantasy, and this book seems to be right up my alley! While it is YA, I do love that it is also appealing to older ages. The idea of special intrinsic magic, gifted only to some, that can only be used to benefit others rather than the magic wielder themselves is a fun twist! Magic being illegal is nothing new, but having magical "speakeasies" if you will, during a magical prohibition, is quite exciting! I would love to read more and see where this story goes!
