Sweet Summer Read
This book is entertaining. It is a different spin on a YA romance. We get very deep into Kaylee Jordan's perspective, which is something I enjoy. Except this time it hit different. I am a type a perfectionist, so her point of view very much relates to how I sometimes view the world. So it felt like my heart was bleeding on the page. It was a strange sensation. I love her and Dean together. Although their relationship did feel more mature for their age. They communicated better than adults. Dean was incredibly understanding and patient. And it had steam and spice but not necessarily over the top for teens. There's no graphic details. It's an excellent beach read, especially since it takes place in Malibu. And it also has a good family tie. The mother daughter dynamic is sweet. Kaylees growth arc is intriguing. She learns a lot in a single summer.
