This book is one of my most anticipated reads ever. Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka wrote one of my favorite novels that I read in 2022, The Roughest Draft. Any book with the second-chance trope and set in the summer is an automatic read for me. That, combined with the fact that these two have already written a second-chance trope book set in the summer that I completely adored? Oh, you've got me. This book is also being likened to People We Meet On Vacation, which I loved!
I love a good YA romance, and the premise of this one is so exciting! It screams forced proximity, mutual pining, and oh so much angst! These authors are also great at fleshing out characters and creating weaknesses in their characters that are extremely relatable and realistic. Their writing is also fantastic, and they use creative metaphors and vivid language to get their job done. I am so excited!
