Young adult romance. It was cute and the characters were likable. The main character Kaylee isn’t like characters in other books, shes not like the preppy YA characters. You see her as a teenager facing pressure and going through different things because she wants to achieve her goal of being a professional volleyball player. This kind of messed up the chemistry between the characters. She was a teenager who was trying to make herself bigger than her mother’s legacy. She faces many judgements as a young woman. The volleyball idea was honestly unique because I have never seen someone do something like that. I like how the story was written out for the most part. It was good but it definitely could have been way better. There was room for improvement. Her pressure and stress was something I related to. And I totally understood her. I like that they ended together at the end.
