This is my first book by the author duo and I have mixed feelings on it. It is a cute summer young adult story that feels a bit like "The Summer I Turned Pretty" with two families vacationing together annually. This summer is messier though because Kaylee and Dean took a chance on dating, broke up, and now are forced to spend three weeks all together. We see our leads navigate family expectations, young love, and pursuing their dreams.

The main character Kaylee was not very likeable -- she's very self-centered and doesn't think about how her actions impact those around her. Her initial breakup with Dean seemed abrupt, so I wasn't keen on him pursuing her for a second time. Overall the story felt very surface level with not a lot of depth to any of the relationships.

If you like a light summer young adult story, this may be a perfect fit for you.
