I enjoy YA and romance - I don't necessarily hold high expectations as oftentimes the stories, characters or banter is enough to keep me entertained and engaged. Unfortunately this first impression didn't hold my attention. I found the main character, Kaylee, to be spoiled, privileged and very self-centered and this put me off the book even though the blurb and the premise sounded promising. Maybe some of this will be more relateable to teens who are focused on their social media presence, but there wasn't enough here for me to want to see how Dean and Kaylee's vacation will unfold.
