This is a book young teens would probably enjoy. The main character is not one I particularly like. Kaylee comes off to me as a rather shallow person. She certainly has a goal in mind as far as volleyball, but seems selfish. I think it’s just her youth. In the first 40 pages, the storyline seems to be moving slowly. I do think many will want to read on to see how Dean and Kaylee get along on their Malibu vacation. I would not want to spend time reading the book and reviewing it, but I think younger people would.
