This seems like the beginning of a fun, light, if somewhat generic, YA romance. The cover and the first few chapters are exactly what I expected going into the book so I think readers of this genre will really like the book. The characters read believably as teenagers, and you get a good sense of the main character. Based on the first impression she seems good-natured, if a bit spoiled, so it makes me curious whether we'll see some character development and where the romance will go.
