The book cover matches the characters and their interests in the story. It looks vaguely familiar to the covers of Jasmine Guillory's books that also look cartoony. The introduction of Kaylee and her backstory were solid. They brought me as a reader to understand how much Kaylee strives for perfection and to leave her mother's shadow. The story seems pretty straight forward but a great book if you want to leave the dreariness of the world behind.
