I actually just bought this book for the library. The cover will catch student’s attention and the content is about strength and standing up for oneself. This is the type of book I want all of my students to read. It reminds girls to use their voices and boys to be respectful. These type of stories are becoming more common but we need more. We need more books with strong females who stand up for themselves. The main character starts out trying to hide but through friendship and self confidence I saw growth and self confidence. We each are beautiful in our own way and body image is particularly hard for teens. This will also be good for boys to see that large breast’s are not a plus and seriously are uncomfortable.
