The writing style is comfy and endearing, the main heroine comes off as irreverent yet self-aware. A bit of a wordy narrative but distinctive and purposeful. I also like the various cultural references. The alternate perspective of Bernice (starting in chapter two) lends a very different feel to the story and a mature tone. Curious to see where this one goes.
